Lake Lawn Opening Reception
Built in 1846 by John Adolphus Nelles and Helen Sumner, Lake Lawn remains a distinctive heritage home in Grimsby. Explore the story of Lake Lawn through original photographs, clothing, toys, and personal belongings from the home and descendants. A cherished collection of family correspondence provides invaluable insight into the life and times of the family and Grimsby.
Special thank you to our dedicated volunteers who made this community project possible.
Join us on Thursday, August 21 from 4:00–6:00 PM at the Grimsby Museum for the official opening of our Lake Lawn Exhibit. Enjoy a first look at the exhibit, connect with the community, and enjoy light refreshments. Admission is free, but donations are greatly appreciated. RSVP is required.
We look forward to celebrating with you!
